On September 2, 2026, a celebration was held in Hakata, Fukuoka to mark the founding of NEXIA, an alliance team bridging Japan and Asia. Kaz Shingo, CEO of New Connections Co., Ltd., which operates SNI, and Li Xin of Water X Technologies Co., Ltd., who leads SNI’s China sourcing and OEM work, both took part as founding members.

NEXIA brings together business owners and specialists who operate across Japan and other Asian countries. It covers more than ten countries, and its purpose is to route a cross-border question straight to the member who handles that work on the ground in the country concerned.
Around 50 people attended—some 20 alliance members and about 30 guests—exchanging notes on local business customs and on how deals actually get done in each market. Legal and accounting professionals, logistics specialists and marketers were among those present, and several concrete projects were discussed on the spot.

What This Means for SNI
Cross-border business tends to go wrong when decisions are made without a clear view of local conditions. SNI has worked to close that gap through support for Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises expanding overseas, China sourcing and OEM support, and AI-driven cross-border marketing.
The founding of this team puts us in even closer contact with the specialists who handle the work in each country. It shortens the time it takes to obtain first-hand local information, and widens the pool of people we can trust at the execution stage.
China Sourcing and OEM: Talk to Li Xin
Li Xin, one of the founding members, is based at Heshui Technology Co., Ltd. (Suzhou) and handles SNI’s China sourcing and OEM/ODM support on the ground. She provides end-to-end support—from identifying and selecting factories and negotiating prices, through launching OEM/ODM production, to customs clearance and logistics—and also supports sales using Chinese social media and video platforms.
If any of the following sounds familiar, please get in touch.
